Spotlight: Story District returns to join forces with Mortified DC for a night of absolute mortification at the DC Improv! Mortified stars everyday adults sharing their most embarrassingly real teenage diary entries, poems, love letters, and locker notes...in front of total strangers. Hailed as a "cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek, this is a comic excavation of strange and extraordinary things we created as teens. Mortified DC is produced by Alex Hewett and Adam Ruben (a longtime Story District favorite). In this collaboration, we will alternate between Mortified-style first-hand readings and Story District-style true tales (with no notes). Though the format is different, the take-away is the same: adolescence is confusing and challenging, but with time and maturity, it makes for hilarious material.
