Spotlight: Enjoy great stand-up comedy in downtown DC! Our showcase lineups feature top talent from DC, Maryland, Virginia and beyond, performing on one of the country's most famous stages. You'll see a variety of styles and get up close with some of the stars of tomorrow. Support local talent, support local business and (most important) laugh your a** off. Showcases generally last around 90 minutes.

About the Comics

Hailing from North Carolina, Anthony D. Oakes is a District of Columbia resident who is taking the comedy scene by storm. A natural comedian, featured in Washington Blade, Anthony has hit the ground running. His clean, yet edgy, Southern, intellectual, witty humor will have you reeling with laughter.

Matt Brown (official website) is a rising comedian from Baltimore, Maryland, who has a way of warming the crowd with his quick wit and warm, pretty boy demeanor. Matt adds raw, colorful hues to dark scenarios and relatable situations, turning upset into something laughable every time. He has a way of warming the crowd with twists and turns, leaving them on their toes for a delivery of hilarious anecdotes and analogies. Matt has worked alongside some great comics such as Louis CK, Dave Attell, Tom Segura, Big Jay Oakerson, Godfrey, and many more. Matt won Comedy Kumite 19.1 (spring 2019) at the DC Improv and was a finalist in the 2024 Comedy Kumite XL.

Brittany Carney began standup in DC and is now based in New York. She has written for Adult Swim, and has appeared on HBO's Fantasmas and That Damn Michael Che. Her standup is featured on Comedy Central and Don't Tell platforms. She is listed as one of Vulture Magazine's Comedians You Should and Will Know. In 2024 Brittany aired her debut special, That is My Horse, on Youtube.

Django Gold is a comedian and writer who lives in New York and regularly performs at comedy clubs, festivals, and dive bars all around the country. His debut stand-up special Bag of Tricks was released to widespread acclaim in 2023, and was named among the best of the year by the New York Times, Vulture, Paste Magazine, and Uproxx. "If you love Norm Macdonald’s delivery style, watch this," raved the Times. In addition to his live performance doings, Django has also written for Colbert and the Onion, where his headshot was assigned to beloved op-ed columnist Derek Ralphs. He has seven Emmy nominations and a Peabody Award, for some reason.
