About the Comics

Nelson Fuentes

Nelson Fuentes is a local dc native comic who speaks about his upbringings in the DMV as one of the tallest half-Salvadorean half-Guatemalan Latinos there is. He enjoys making people laugh about his and their day-to-day lifestyles and his background.

Mike Lebovitz

Mike Lebovitz began his comedy career at the age of six with clowning classes at the local JCC. He's been delighting crowds with his intoxicating brand of wild-eyed humor ever since. Lebo cut his teeth in Chicago (not as painful as it sounds), where he was a regular at Zanies Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory and Comedy Bar Chicago. He co-founded the popular showcase, Comedians You Should Know, which he brought to New York City in 2016. It has since become the weekly go-to spot to see comedy legends and up-and-comers rock the same mic. He’s been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and HBO’s The Deuce. Buy his debut album, TWO SLOB HOUSEHOLD, out now on Stand Up! Records.

Pearl Rose

Pearl Rose is a stand-up comedian, writer and performer originally from Minnesota. She has performed up and down the East Coast at venues including the Kennedy Center and has opened for comedians such as Mark Normand. She has been included in DC’s District of Laughs Festival and Limestone Comedy Festival, and was featured as “Best of the Fest” at 10K Laughs in 2023 and has been featured in the Washington Post’s “The Lily”.

Tim Smith is a comedian based in NYC. A known goofball hailing from Chicago/Louisiana, Tim was recently featured at the New York Comedy Festival and has opened for legends such as Roy Wood Jr, Kyle Kinane, Jim Norton and Ms. Pat. He’s the cohost of the Roommates in Law podcast and he’s been with the same woman for over 12 years, so ladies don’t even try it.

Yasmin Elhady

Born in Egypt, raised in Alabama, and armed with a sharp wit and even sharper legal mind, Yasmin Elhady has mastered the art of juggling identities without dropping the ball (or her kids). She’s the lawyer who’ll argue you under the table by day and have you ugly-laughing about it by night. Yasmin turned to comedy to roast life’s absurdities with fearless takes on faith, culture, and motherhood. She’s appeared on stages across the US and Europe—including The Kennedy Center—and been featured on NBC, NPR, Netflix Is a Joke Radio, and Hulu’s Muslim Matchmaker.
