Spotlight: Enjoy great stand-up comedy in downtown DC! Our showcase lineups feature top talent from DC, Maryland, Virginia and beyond, performing on one of the country's most famous stages. You'll see a variety of styles and get up close with some of the stars of tomorrow. Support local talent, support local business and (most important) laugh your a** off. Showcases generally last around 90 minutes.

About the Comics

Chalee Jr

After going viral via Facebook from his hilarious and relatable military skits, Chalee Jr began performing standup comedy in 2016. A native of Jacksonville, Fla., he quickly made a name for himself on the DMV comedy scene and across the U.S., all the while still serving as active duty Navy. He has become one of the top ambassadors for the United States Navy, promoting that he is more than just a servicemember.

Naomi Karavani

Naomi Karavani (official website) is a comedian and former on-camera correspondent and writer for the weekly comedy news show "Redacted Tonight" in Washington, D.C. She featured in a number of comedy festivals such as the Women in Comedy, Cape Fear Comedy Fest, the Underground Comedy Fest, the 202 Comedy Festival, What a Joke Fest, Laugh Your Asheville Off, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Limestone, and the District of Comedy Festival. Before joining the Redacted team she worked as a high school history teacher in Brooklyn, New York for over five years.

Jamal Russell

Jamal Russell is a D.C. based comedian who has been doing comedy for six years. Jamal has performed at the Ice House in L.A., Caroline's on Broadway, the Milwaukee comedy festival, the Motor City comedy festival and the Boston comedy festival. Jamal won Comedy Kumite 32 (winter 2022) at the DC Improv, and he was a finalist at Comedy Kumite XL (summer 2023).

Winston Hodges (official website) is from DC by way of Richmond, Virginia. He has worked comedy clubs up and down the east coast and is known for his southern charm and edgy wit. His debut album will be released in October 2021 by Helium Comedy Records, and his award winning comedy special "Grieving Productively" is available for free on YouTube. He is the host of the podcasts "Host Battle" and "Dead Dad Comedy Pod." He has performed in the Asheville Comedy Festival and New York Underground Comedy Fest. Come listen to Winston cover all the things we think about but are scared to say. Winston won the "Cottage Kumite" (Kumite 36, fall 2022) at President Lincoln's Cottage.

Andrew Durso

Andrew Durso is a comic and writer from Boston. Now based in New York, he’s a fixture in clubs and showcases throughout the city. He was a staff writer for "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj" on Netflix, and his stand-up has been featured in the Boston Comedy Festival, the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, and on SiriusXM radio.
