Tony Rock has been headlining sold-out shows at the DC Improv for years, and this versatile entertainer has also had his share of success in front of the camera. (He was in DC in late 2016 filming the upcoming movie "Couples' Night.") As one of the most-sought hosts in the business, he’s been running the show on the revamped “Apollo Live ” and the new “The Game of Dating.” He’s an amazing talent from one of comedy’s most celebrated families – don’t miss these shows.
Comedian-writer-actor-producer Tony Rock is back on Primetime as the host of TVOne’s new outrageous game show “The Game of Dating,” which debuted in January 2017.
Tony’s 2016 was extraordinarily busy, as he hosted shows like the “All Def Movie Awards” on Fusion, “All Def Comedy” on HBO, plus weekly series shows like “The Warm Up” on NBATV and “Mann and Wife” on Bounce. He’ll be starring in the upcoming “Couples Night,” which is slated for a 2017 release, and he continues to tour.
Tony was born laughing, in the same Brooklyn hospital where most of his eight brothers and sisters found their way into the world. Being the fourth child of Rose Rock and Julius Rock, Tony had a natural knack for entertaining. Decatur Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, where he grew up, was one of the toughest that New York had to offer. It also provided a host of rich characters on which to draw. Now residing in Los Angeles, Tony has taken Hollywood by storm.
Being the brother of an established entertainer, Tony was able to successfully elude the shadows of his older sibling and step into his own limelight. Tony has proved himself as one of the most talented, well-respected entertainers in the business, with skills as a comedian, actor, and executive producer.
