April 4

We're teaming up with Dupont Underground to bring live comedy underneath Dupont Circle. The Underground is the nonprofit that operates in the old trolley tunnels below the circle. We did three shows with them in 2017, and we're back for more in 2018 -- enjoy some laughs while checking out one of the coolest event and art spaces in the city. PLEASE NOTE: All ticketing is handled by Dupont Underground.

Our first show for 2018 features headliner Bengt Washburn, along with Mia Jackson and Eddie Morrison.

Bengt Washburn

Originally from Utah, Bengt Washburn grew up the youngest son in a small Mormon family (7 kids) in a large Utah town (2000 people). At nineteen he was given a ten speed bike, two polyester suits and a plane ticket to Seattle Washington where he served his two year tour of religious duty as a missionary for the LDS (Mormon) church. He returned home two years later with buns of steel and life experiences that would translate into twenty minutes of solid comedy material. He began doing standup comedy full time in 1997. In 2001 Bengt won the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He has since appeared on Comedy Central‘s Live at Gotham, the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and on Conan on TBS. He has performed in forty states, on four continents, at the 2002 Winter Olympics and in Canada.

Mia Jackson

Mia Jackson is a bonafide Georgia peach (that's Georgian for “native”) and self-proclaimed know-it-all. After graduating from the University of Georgia she hit the local comedy scene and has thrilled audiences since day one. To her credit she has appeared on “NickMom's Night Out,” “Viceland” and was a semi-finalist on Season 9 of NBC's “Last Comic Standing.” She also appeared on the fourth season premiere of “Inside Amy Schumer” and the movie “Mother's Day.”

Eddie Morrison

Eddie Morrison is a D.C. native who has performed standup comedy all over the metro area. His appearances include the DC Improv, State Theatre, and Magooby’s Jokehouse, where he was named runner-up at the 2015 New Comedian of the Year Competition.
