August 24lounge

DMV showcases feature excellent up-and-coming performers with ties to the DC-Baltimore area. (Every now and then we also throw in an out-of-towner for fun.) This show is in our 60-seat lounge showroom, and the comedians will perform for a total of around 90 minutes. The Improv's full food and drink menu is available.

Paris Sashay

Washington DC native Paris Sashay is frank and fearless in her routines, tackling topics that range from the mundane to the controversial with style, wit and intelligence. Paris Sashay discovered her true talent for entertainment & food when she was just 6 years old after auditioning for a hot dog commercial. It was in 2011, when Paris first hit the stage that she immediately fell in love with the art of making people laugh.

Denise Taylor

Denise Taylor is a stand-up comic who performs all over the DC area. She's wanted to be a comedian ever since her fourth grade teacher called her a "ringleader" for distracting the class with jokes. Denise goes to law school now, where teachers are still frustrated with her. She loves two things: satire and attention. See a clip on YouTube.

Elahe Izadi

Elahe Izadi is a Washington, DC-based stand-up comic. She was born to Iranian immigrants who owned an Italian restaurant in rural Maryland so, yeah, there's a lot happening there. Elahe regularly performs at venues throughout the area, including the DC Improv, Lincoln Theatre and her parents’ kitchen. She is a repeated past performer of Women in Comedy Festival and Bentzen Ball. Elahe is also a journalist who frequents MSNBC, Fox News and major NPR member stations. Follow her on Twitter @ElaheIzadi.

Mia Jackson

Mia Jackson is a bonafide Georgia peach (that's Georgian for “native”) and self-proclaimed know-it-all. After graduating from the University of Georgia she hit the local comedy scene and has thrilled audiences since day one. To her credit she has appeared on “NickMom's Night Out,” “Viceland” and was a semi-finalist on Season 9 of NBC's “Last Comic Standing.” She also appeared on the fourth season premiere of “Inside Amy Schumer” and the movie “Mother's Day.”

Natalie McGill

Natalie McGill is a Baltimore-born but DC-living comic who has performed in the Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival and has opened for acts such as Al Madrigal and Rob Cantrell. She works as a correspondent on RT America’s “Redacted Tonight.” You can follow her on Twitter at @nataliesmcgill.
