A strong character choice can be inspired by anything and will launch a scene if you hold on tight. This workshop will use your sense of play & imagination, and techniques to set you free from the limitations that keep you from making bold character moves that stick on stage. Getting into the head of a character will keep you out of yours on stage. This workshop focuses on the internal and external ways of exploring character for improvised and sketch work. Improvisers will learn to explore the ways to reveal character relationships without using heavy-handed initiations. Aspiring sketch writers will leave with tools to writing a range of characters with depth. Workshop participants can look forward to individual feedback & a chance to demonstrate what they’ve learned in structured performance time throughout the workshop.
