Are you a good person? Finally, there's a show that answers this question (and for only $17-$22 a ticket, yowza). When Christian Finnegan comes to town July 12-15, he'll be polishing up "My Goodness," a comedic look at what it means to be good. We're chatting with Christian about what inspired the concept and how he measures up.

This Week at the Club: June 4-10

Gina Yashere

We've got lots coming your way this week. Wednesday night is a special event with 106.7 the Fan. They're bringing Nationals' closer Sean Doolittle to the club to break down the season and answer fan questions. Tickets are $35 and a portion of the proceeds goes to Purple Heart.

Thursday we have the DC Improv debut of Dave Rubin, he of "intellectual dark web" fame. He'll be doing stand-up. All that's left is general admission tickets, which are $25.

Friday through Sunday is the DC Improv debut of Gina Yashere, as seen on Netflix and "The Daily Show." She's $20 Friday, $22 Saturday and $17 Sunday.

And over in the lounge showroom, we have a showcase of NYC-based stand-ups running on Friday and Saturday night. That's $17 on Friday and $20 on Saturday.

New Podcast: Gina Yashere

The British correspondent on "The Daily Show" knows how to take risks. She walked away from a great day job to try comedy. Then she walked away from great success in the U.K., hoping to crack the U.S. market. We talk about those bold moves and more in advance of her DC Improv debut, June 8-10.

This Week at the Club: May 28 - June 3

Ari Shaffir

We open festivities on Wednesday with Frank Caliendo, but that show is already sold out. Thursday we have a private event.

So we turn our eyes to Friday, when hometown hero Ari Shaffir starts his weekend run of shows. Tickets are $25 and Saturday is already sold out, so hustle up if you want to see him. He's here through Sunday night.

There's also all kinds of activity in our lounge. Friday night we have a Comedy School Showcase at 7:30, and then a DMV showcase at 9:45. Tickets are $10 for the early show and $17 for the late show. On Saturday you can see the monthly ComedySportz improv shows. The 7:30 seating is "all-ages," meaning you can bring your kids. The 9:45 "Late Night Improv" show is for people 18 and older. Tickets for either of those shows are $15.

And we close out the lounge weekend with the Make Up Party. Fourteen teams are lined up, and each one will present its best five minutes of comedy featuring the theme of travel. The best one (as decided by the audience) gets a cash prize. Tickets are just $5 and that show starts at 7 p.m.

New Shows: Steve Byrne, Jason Mewes

We know summer is just starting, but now you can plan how to close it out in style. Steve Byrne returns to the DC Improv from August 30 to September 2, bringing his latest hour of material and probably a good-looking dark suit. Also on sale: Hollywood cult favorite Jason Mewes -- the Jay from "Jay and Silent Bob" -- will be telling stories from his turbulent life on November 7. It's one night only and there's already a bit of buzz about this, so plan ahead if you want to see him.
