This Week at the Club

We're keeping it simple this week. Hypnotist Flip Orley and nothing but Flip Orley, Thursday through Sunday. Tickets are $17 for Thursday and Sunday, $19 for Friday and Saturday. If you've never seen comedic hypnotism before, go. It's a LOT of fun to watch.

New Shows

Where do we begin? October: Roy Wood Jr. tickets are now on sale. He'll be here October 6-8. November: Bill Bellamy is doing six shows November 9-12. December: We're kicking off the last month of the year with Lil Duval in the main showroom (Dec. 1-3) while Todd Glass headlines the lounge (Dec. 1-2). Ron Funches is now on the schedule for December 7-9. Judah Friedlander will be in his hometown for Christmas, headlining Dec. 21-23. And our year will end with Finesse Mitchell. He'll headline Dec. 28-30, then stick around for the New Year's Eve shows.

Around the Internet

If you have 30 minutes, NPR did a cool interview that features both Dave Chappelle and Donnell Rawlings. (Donnell headlines Thanksgiving weekend.) They talk a bit about starting their comedy careers in DC.

Rod Man on the move, Iliza on the way

iliza

Alright! We've got some shuffling to tell you about.

As mentioned earlier in the week, Tommy Davidson canceled his shows over Labor Day weekend so he can work on a TV project. We also had to move Bob Marley from November 2017 back to early 2018 (exact scheduling TBD). But those moves make way for this:

Rod Man (originally scheduled for November) is moving to Labor Day weekend. And Iliza Shlesinger is now slated to make her DC Improv headlining debut November 16-18. All tickets on sale now!

If you had tickets for Tommy Davidson, Bob Marley, or Rod Man's original November dates, be sure to check your e-mail for information on your options.

DCI Update: July 18

Rhan Davis

This Week at the Club

We have all kinds of goodness happening this week. Main showroom first: We start with an Open Mic Night on Wednesday (free admission). Then there are six sold out shows with Judd Apataow, Thursday through Saturday. And then Ryan Davis is here on Sunday night. (The first show with Ryan is sold out, and we only have a few tickets left for Sunday 9:45.)

Over in the lounge: There's a DMV Showcase on Friday night, featuring five top-notch local stand-ups. Then ComedySportz moves in on Saturday for an all-ages improv comedy show at 7:30 and their "Late Night Improv" show at 9:45. Tickets for Friday are $17, and tickets for Saturday are $15.

New Shows

The hole in our September calendar has been filled. Moshe Kasher, a Comedy Central favorite, will be here September 21-23. It's his first time at the club since 2013. Looking to October, we've got another murder mystery comedy show coming your way. Die Laughing Productions will bust out their brand-new Halloween / horror movie themed show on October 25.

Schedule Changes

Tommy Davidson has canceled his shows August 31 - September 3. (Sounds like his TV schedule is interfering.) If you have tickets already, we'll be contacting you shortly with your options. We might be doing a little reshuffling of the fall calendar.

Around the Internet

Check out this interview with Ari Shaffir, then go watch his double special on Netflix. We command you.
