Christian Finnegan

So much going on! We start things off Tuesday with Story District, although that's very likely to sell out. Wednesday night, our main showroom hosts our monthly Open Mic Night. Free admission, although you can reserve seats online for a $1.50 service charge per ticket, if you so choose. (Tickets also available at the door.)

Thursday through Sunday, the main room belongs to Christian Finnegan, in from NYC for all your comedy needs. He'll be joined by Robby Slowik and Brittany Carney. Tickets are $17 Friday, $20 Friday and Sunday, and $22 Saturday.

Our lounge showroom is busy, but you probably missed the boat on tickets. Thursday we're sold out with medium Cindy Kaza. DC favorite Erin Jackson is here Friday and Saturday, recording an album during the Saturday shows. That's pretty much sold out as of this post.

Low Ticket Warning

DeRay Davis The Founding Fathers fought for our independence, so that you could take two days off work in 2018 and have a five-day staycation weekend. Honor their vision by getting comedy tickets. It's the patriotic thing to do. Here are shows that are filling up or (in some cases) full. The lounge is 60 - 68 seats, main showroom is 285:

  • DeRay Davis (July 5-8): These numbers are changing fast -- the post will be outdated pretty quickly. But let's get to it. Any show not listed here is already sold out. Thursday 9:30 has about 80 seats left. Friday 11:00 has less than 25 seats left. Sunday 6:00 has around 50 seats left. The most availability is for Sunday 3:00 and Sunday 8:00, but they're going to fill up. Plan ahead.
  • Ryan Conner (July 6): Over in our lounge showroom, our Friday night show with Ryan has 14 tickets remaining.
  • ComedySportz improv (July 7): The family-friendly improv show in our lounge is more than half full (24 seats left).
  • Story District (July 10): A Tuesday storytelling showcase in our main room. We have 120 tickets left.
  • Erin Jackson (July 13-14): Saturday is sold out. The Friday early show (in our lounge showroom) has 23 tickets left, and the Friday late show is exactly half full (30 tickets left).
  • Luenell (July 20-22): The Saturday early show (7 p.m.) has right around 100 tickets left.
  • Sheryl Underwood (August 3-5): The Saturday early show (7 p.m.) is around 60 percent full.
  • Bruce Bruce (August 17-19): Saturday 7 p.m is sold out. We have 92 tickets left for the Saturday late show (9:30), and 106 left for the Friday early show (7:00).
  • Arsenio Hall (August 24-25): 56 seats left for the Saturday early show. The Friday early show is also half sold.
  • Arnez J (September 6-9): The Saturday early show (7 p.m.) has 125 tickets remaining.
  • Craig Robinson (September 27-30): The actual numbers are in flux here, as we're processing some refunds (because these shows were rescheduled from June). But every show currently has less than 40 tickets available.
  • Nate Bargatze (October 4-7): The Saturday early show (7:00) is half sold.
  • And That's Why We Drink (November 5-6): The Tuesday show is sold out. Monday was added and it's now 40 percent full.

Logan's Run (Pun DMV)

We had a lot of great entries at last week's Pun DMV: Remix, in our lounge showroom. The big winner, however, was Logan Anbinder -- who put together a truly impressive piece of comedy writing. We got the audio, and a few pictures to go with it. Check it out, and then get tickets to see Logan August 2 at the Pun DMV event in our main showroom.

New Shows: Flip Orley, Tommy Davidson

Summer started, so I guess it's time to plan your holiday season, right? We have Hypnotist Flip Orley returning to DC from December 13-16. He's been performing here every year for more than two decades.

The week before Christmas, all through the club, the main thing stirring will be Tommy Davidson. The last time we saw him was 2015 so it's good to have him back.
