New Shows: Jeremy McLellan and more

We just put an interesting new show on the schedule: Jeremy McLellan makes his DC Improv headlining debut on March 13. Jeremy comes from Charleston, South Carolina, where he won the city's stand-up comedy competition two years in a row. He has found an unusual niche performing at interfaith gatherings, as a "devout Christian with a passion for social justice." Check him out:

More new shows: Our last stand-up comedy class for 2017 will graduate on December 20, a Wednesday night. As always, the tickets will be $10, and as always, it should be a good time.

We're going to try the "Pun DMV" pun competition in the main showroom on January 31. You are welcome to watch (tickets are just $6) or compete -- just check out the event description to see what you need to do to prepare.

Finally, we're stoked that Comedy Kumite will be back for a 12th edition on January 20. Our comedy competition pits eight stand-ups against eachother in a one-night tournament. It always sells out the lounge. Tickets are $17.

This Week at the Club: November 20-26

It's Thanksgiving week, so we're keeping things simple. You get to be thankful for the DMV's own Donnell Rawlings, who'll be performing Friday through Saturday. The Friday and Saturday shows are already sold out, but you can still get tickets for Sunday (November 26). We have seatings at 7:30 and 9:45, and the tickets are $27 (general admission) to $32 (VIP).

Nothing going on in the lounge showroom this weekend, as of right now. Any changes, we'll let you know.

DMV Showcase It's shopping season, and comedy tickets make a great gift. But just like the hottest toys, if you don't get them in advance, you might have to fist-fight someone in a mall parking lot to get the last ones. Plan ahead. The lounge is 60 seats, main showroom is 285:

DCI Update: November 14

This Week at the Club

We get things going on Wednesday with the latest graduation show for our stand-up comedy class. Tickets are $10. Iliza Shlesinger is here Thursday through Saturday, with five sold-out shows. And on Sunday, we have our second "Rockin' Mic Night," which features a comedy show and live-band karaoke open to the audience. Just $5 for that one.

In our lounge, we have DMV showcases running on both Friday and Saturday.

New Shows

We'll do this in chronological order. We added a DMV showcase in our lounge on December 8. You can see Rory Scovel make his return to the main showroom, March 29-31. (Tickets on sale this Friday.) We have Taylor Tomlinson making her DC Improv headlining debut April 5-8. And wrestling legend Mick Foley takes our stage April 12. (Tickets on sale December 1.)

Holiday Shopping

Most gift cards are hopelessly lame, but DC Improv gift cards kick butt. They can be used for tickets, for food and drink here at the club, for comedy class tuition ... And since it's a gift card, you don't have to guess about which comic the recipient might want to see. They can choose their own adventure. You can order gift cards through, and if you get them now they'll definitely be delivered in plenty of time for the holidays.
