Booking procedures and open mic nights.
Please read all of the instructions below before submitting any materials. And please, NO PHONE CALLS.
Are you interested in being an emcee or feature act at the DC Improv? If you would like to be considered by our bookers, please send us a performance video from the last three months that is no longer than 10 minutes. Older or longer videos will not be considered.
- If you are submitting a DVD, use this address: The DC Improv Comedy Club, Attn: Booking Office, 1140 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20036. (DVD submissions will not be returned.)
- Include a short biography, as well as resume of your comedy work.
Please understand that the DC Improv receives hundreds of submissions, and it is not possible for us to respond to all of them. You will be contacted ONLY if you are accepted to perform on an audition showcase for the bookers. DO NOT send any follow-up emails after you submit a web link and/or DVD. And again, absolutely NO PHONE CALLS.
Worked the Improv before?
We still might need a refresher. If you haven't performed in the Improv's main showroom or lounge for more more than nine months, please include a recent video when you send us your booking requests.
