DC's Funniest College Competition
Presented by the DC Improv Comedy Club
The DC Improv is searching for the funniest college student in the Washington D.C. and surrounding areas and will host showcases at several universities around town as part of our 10th Annual DC’s Funniest College Competition.
Please note that to qualify as a participant for this event you need to be a full time college student for the Spring semester of 2013. You must submit proof that you are enrolled as a full time student with a minimum of 12 credits for spring 2013 semester. Examples of proof; email or fax a copy of Spring 2013 course schedule or transcript. There are limited spots available and priority is given to first time contestants. There is no guarantee you will be selected to participate in this event even after you submit the information to me.
Friday, February 22, 2013 – University of Maryland, College Park
Friday, March 1, 2013 – George Mason University
Wednesday, March 27, 2013 – Variety School Showcase at DC Improv
Each preliminary showcase will feature several college students/comedians performing 5 minutes of original stand-up material in front of an audience of their peers and a panel of expert judges. Two students will be selected as winners and will be invited to perform for the finals to be held at The DC Improv on April 11, 2013. At the finals, one student will be crowned the winner and is rewarded with a paid hosting gig at The DC Improv plus additional prizes. The prize for the University is a reputation for housing some of the funniest students in the area.
