Do you think you're funny or did you ever want to try Stand-up Comedy? Well now's your chance! The DC Improv is proud to host the 9th Annual Districts Funniest College Competition and we are looking for student performers. • University of Maryland, College Park - February 24, 2012
• Variety School Showcase at The DC Improv Comedy Club - March 21, 2012
• George Mason University - March 23, 2012
• Finals at The DC Improv - April 18, 2012

  The DC Improv is searching for the funniest college student in Washington DC and surrounding area. We are producing free comedy showcases at various universities featuring college students/comedians performing 5 minutes of original stand-up material in front of an audience of their peers and a panel of expert judges. One-Two students will be selected as winners from each individual school show and will be invited to perform in the finals to be held at The DC Improv in Spring 2012. At the finals, one student will be crowned the winner and is rewarded with a paid hosting gig at The DC Improv, an interview with Tommy McFly on 94.7 FRESH FM and a one year supply of POPCHIPS. The prize for the University is a reputation for housing some of the funniest students in the area.

• 2009 Winner - American University
• 2010 Winner - Howard University
• 2011 Winner - George Mason University

  
  To qualify as a participant for this event you need to be a full time college student for Spring 2012. You must submit proof that you are enrolled as a full time student. There are limited spots available and priority is given to first time contestants. There is no guarantee you will be selected to participate in this event.

  On April 18 the preliminary round winners are invited to perform at the finals at The DC Improv. One lucky student will be crowned the winner of "The 9th Annual Districts Funniest College Competition" and is rewarded with a paid hosting gig at The DC Improv, an interview with Tommy McFly on 94.7 FRESH FM and a one year supply of POPCHIPS. The prize for the University is a reputation for housing some of the funniest students in the area.
