Dates: May 9th - 11th, 2008 The DC Improv Comedy School is thrilled to be bringing in an awesome teacher straight from NYC, Ali Farahnakian; one of the founders of Upright's Citizens Brigade and The People's Improv Theater plus a former SNL Writer during their 25th season to teach a weekend's worth of comedy classes in 2 genres: Advanced Improv Comedy and Sketch Writing.

Dates: Saturday May 17th, 2008 & Sunday May 18th, 2008 Expand your improv artillery! Discover the different dimensions of character inside yourself, on the spot! Drawing from theatre and improv methods, you'll explore a new realm of character types, with emphasis on theatrical, believable, and "real world" characters. Continuing to build on the characters in your repertoire, we will focus on breaking bad habits, self awareness, and creating good scene work. Possible Dialects to work on: North American (East Coast, Midwest, Southern, Canadian), British, and Romance Languages.
